The 69th Miss Universe pageant has already commenced. Some of the most beautiful girls from all across the globe are in the United States of America, for this two-week long international festival. The pageant that wears the crown of the world’s biggest and most prestigious beauty pageant, always gets the best of the best candidates from all over the world competing against each other for the elusive and scintillating crown that sits on the head of the most beautiful woman in world.

This year’s pageant has several beautiful and talented candidates, however, there is just one woman that has completely astonished and amazed people all over the world, with her beauty, grace and elegance. She is the delegate from the country that is termed as the powerhouse of beauty queens in Asia – the Philippines. She has the face that screams beauty and the eyes that are as deep as the Pacific Ocean; she is Rabiya Mateo from Iloilo City.

Rabiya Mateo created history by winning the very first edition of Miss Universe Philippines competition, held on October 25, 2020, at Cordillera Convention Hall, Baguio Country Club, Baguio, Philippines. After her victory, she took the beauty pageant industry by storm and cemented herself as the major front runner for the crown of Miss Universe. She topped almost all the prediction lists of the new Miss Universe winner released by the different pageant websites and online portals.

As of May 3, 2021, she has over 827K Instagram followers, making her the most followed Miss Universe 2020/21 candidate on Instagram. The number is rapidly increasing and perhaps in coming weeks, she might cross the 1 Million mark. Pageant experts and consultants from all over the world believe that she is the strongest candidate this year for the title of Miss Universe.

The beauty queens from the Philippines are amongst the most well-prepared delegates sent to an international pageant. In past decade, the Philippines has won 2 Miss Universe crowns and has a placed in the Top 10/15 for 10 consecutive years. Will Rabiya bring home the fifth Miss Universe crown?
