The new Mrs. West Bengal will get elected on December 17, 2021, in Kolkata. The grand finale of the beauty pageant will take place at Hyatt Regency Kolkata. The winner of Mrs. West Bengal 2021 title will get direct entry to the national finals of Rubaru Mrs. India 2022 beauty pageant. As the final date of the event is getting closer, the founder and director of Mrs. West Bengal pageant, Ddevjani Mitra mentioned about this year’s event and the qualities that the new winner must embody.
While speaking about the upcoming Mrs. West Bengal beauty pageant, Ddevjani Mitra quoted, “We are all set to welcome our new winners. However, the tasks of selecting the new winners is not going to be easy this time, and the expectations from the new winner are going to be even higher. West Bengal has already produced two national pageant titleholders – Banpreet Kaur (Rubaru Mrs. India World Noble Queen 2021) and Preeti Jagwani (Rubaru Mrs. India National Universe 2021). Thus, the benchmark has already been set very high. The new titleholder will have even bigger responsibilities on her shoulders. We are looking for a woman who understands the diversity and significance of the concept – women empowerment; it is a very diverse and multifaceted subject and is not confined to one particular sector. We want our winner to use the platform that she would get to bring about a positive change in the society; to use her actions in order to bring smiles on other’s faces. Beauty pageants are not entirely about beautiful outfits and glittering crowns, the concept of pageantry has drastically changed over the time and we understand that change very well. Nowadays, beauty pageants have become platforms where confident and empowered women come together and work collectively for a social cause; they make efforts to touch as many lives as possible and impact them positively. We are very certain that we are going to get a great winner, who will embody such traits and qualities.”
This year, Banpreet Kaur (Mrs. West Bengal 2020) and Preet Jagwani (Face of Bengal 2020) went on to win two top title at Rubaru Mrs. India 2021 beauty pageant. Both of them will be seen representing at international beauty pageants – Mrs. World Noble Queen International and Mrs. National Universe to take place in coming months.
