The search for the new Mr. West Bengal has commenced. The winner of the 2021 Mr. West Bengal competition will represent the state at India’s biggest male pageant – Rubaru Mr. India. The election of the new Mr. West Bengal shall take place on December 17, 2021 in Kolkata. As we are just a few days away from learning the name of the gentleman who will represent West Bengal at Rubaru Mr. India 2022 championship, the founder and directress of the Mr. West Bengal championship, Ddevjani Mitra talked about the qualities that a candidate must embody in order to win the title.
While speaking about the upcoming Mr. West Bengal contest and the responsibility the winner would shoulder, Ddevjani Mitra mentioned, “We are just a few days away from the grand finale of Mr. West Bengal 2021 contest. The entries that we have received this year are really amazing. We are very certain and confident that we would get a great winner and a remarkable representative for our state. Although it is not going to be an easy task for the new winner, as the benchmark has already been set very high by our current winner, Tanmay Das from Durgapur. He was elected Mr. West Bengal in 2019 and went on win Rubaru Mr. India East 2020-21 title. Therefore, the expectations from the new winner are going to be even higher. We are looking for a candidate who understands the significance of the platform that we would walk on and the path that he would need to take if he wins the title. We are looking for an individual who can influence others in a positive way, regardless the fact that his impact is big or small. He must be persistent in his efforts and optimistic in his approach. Just a good-looking face is not enough to qualify for Mr. West Bengal, as it is not just a modelling competition only; it is much more than that. Our winner should be the one with whom other youngsters can relate themselves to. A face from the crowd that can be hope for others to believe in their dreams. We shall know the name of that person on December 17, 2021.”
Mr. West Bengal is a state-level pageant for men. The pageant is organized by I-Glam academy, established by Kolkata-based entrepreneur and event manager, Ddevjani Mitra. The winner of the pageant gets direct entry to India’s biggest and oldest running male pageant – Rubaru Mr. India.
