Aspiring civil engineer, Minjom Padu named Mr. Arunachal 2021

On November 7, 2021, the new Mr. Arunachal titleholder was elected in Itanagar. Minjom Padu, an aspiring civil engineer, based in Itanagar, was proclaimed the winner of Mr. Arunachal 2021 championship, culminated at Dorjee Khandu State Convention Center. Along with winning this prestigious title, he also won direct entry to India’s biggest male pageant – Rubaru Mr. India. He will represent Arunachal Pradesh at Rubaru Mr. India 2022 championship. He was also named the face of Northeast Fashion Week at the said event held in the capital city – Itanagar.

Minjom Padu belongs to Aalo in the West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh, and currently resides in the capital city – Itanagar. He is 23 years old and holds a degree in civil engineering. He has black hair and brown eyes. At the Mr. Arunachal 2021 championship, Minjom displayed his strong thought process and broad perspective on life during the question-and-answer segments. He spoke about subjects like importance of education and challenges faced by the youth in current phase of crises. He also mentioned about traits like punctuality and dedication, that could help an individual achieve their goals. Next year, he will be seen walking down the runway, representing Arunachal Pradesh, at the 18th edition of Rubaru Mr. India championship.

Rubaru Mr. India is the biggest and oldest running men’s pageant in India. The event is owned by Rubaru Group. The event has been taking place since 2004. It was created by Haryana based entrepreneur, Sandeep Kumar and Mumbai-based, Pankaj Kharbanda is the current vice president of the organization. The pageant receives the maximum number of entrants. Rubaru Mr. India is associated with more than 10 international modelling competitions and fashion enterprises across the globe. It contributes more than 70% to male pageant sector of India by producing more than 10 titleholders and over 30 award winners annually. Rubaru Mr. India pageant also holds the record of producing the maximum number of international male pageant award winners and titleholders of Indian origin.

The winner of Mr. Arunachal championship receives direct entry to the national finals of Rubaru Mr. India championship. This year, Tumken Sora, the winner of Mr. Arunachal 2019, competed at Rubaru Mr. India 2020-21 championship held in Goa, and was named the brand ambassador of Rubaru Mr. India organization. He also won an award in the talent category of the event. Mr. Arunachal is annual state level championship for men. The event is organized by Aries Corps, under the leadership of its founder and chairman, Jack Taniya Budh, and is supported by the Department of Youth Affairs of Arunachal Pradesh. Mr. Arunachal is one of the biggest state level championships in India.
